Our Story
This all started with a lifelong love for two wheels and open trails.
For founder Kevin Cave, the love of riding began early. His father was one of the founding members of the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club, so, as he says, “It’s in my blood.” He spent years exploring the mountains and deserts of California and Nevada on dirt bikes, before life shifted gears. Cars, racing, and eventually raising a family took center stage for a time.
In the early 2000s, the search for a new family hobby led to selling the boat, buying a few dirt bikes, and returning to the desert. Over the next 15 years, they rode and raced across Southern California and Nevada together. When it was time to hang up the racing boots, he wasn’t quite ready to stop riding. As he puts it, “I just needed something a little heavier that couldn’t be raced.” That’s when the first dual sport bike arrived, followed by an ADV bike and the urge to travel even farther.
While searching for like-minded riders online, he noticed something was missing. Most groups were focused on street riding or had only a small mix of ADV enthusiasts. There wasn’t much tailored specifically to older riders who loved off-road adventure. So, he started a group: Senior Off-Road ADV Riders.
“It took off faster than I ever expected.”
Today, that community has grown into an incredible space where older riders, both men and women, connect to share experiences, swap tips, and support each other. From figuring out gear that works better as we age to swapping ride stories and inspiration, the group has become something special.
Still, there was a need for something more permanent “Something easier to navigate. Something we owned. A space that couldn’t just disappear if a social media platform changed its rules.”
With help from his sons Kevin and Anthony, this website was created: a dedicated hub for riders who still live for the ride, no matter their age.
